How live chat works
Anyone signed in can open live chat and read along.
Sending messages is a Premium feature — that keeps rooms small, calm and easy to moderate.
You appear under your random handle (like "Quiet Heron"), never your real name or email.
Every message runs through an automatic safety check before it posts. If it doesn't pass, you'll see why and can rewrite it.
You can delete your own messages. Moderators can delete anything, and you can report any message you didn't write.
Repeatedly breaking the rules pauses your posting access.
The rules
No violence or threats — not as a joke, not about anyone.
No identifying information: no full names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, workplaces or social handles (yours or anyone else's).
No hate speech or slurs of any kind.
Swearing is fine. Swearing at people, or every other word, is not.
No spam, selling, scams or link dumping.
If someone says they're in danger, don't pile on — report it and let the moderators step in.
Inviting friends to a room
Create a room from the live chat panel and give it a name — you'll get a 6-character invite code.
Share that code with the friends you want in the room. They tap "Join with code" and they're in.
Only members can read or post in an invite room. Codes are the key, so only send them to people you trust.
The board lobby and each post's thread chat stay open to everyone signed in.
If something goes wrong
Report the message, and a moderator will review it. For anything urgent, email support@maternalmenace.com. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or call or text 988 in the US.
