This Privacy Policy explains what Talk It Out ("we", operated by Maternal Menace) collects when you use the Service, why, and the choices you have.
We do not sell your personal information, and your conversations are not shared publicly. Your conversations are private to your account unless you explicitly choose to share a single response as a shareable card.
To generate replies, the content of your messages (and screenshots you upload for Show the Group) is processed by AI models through our infrastructure providers. These providers process the data on our behalf to deliver the Service; they don't use your conversations to build public models.
Conversations and uploads are tied to your account and protected by row-level access controls, so only you can read them. Access is denied by default. That said, no system is perfectly secure — please don't share highly sensitive information (passwords, government IDs, financial account numbers) in chat.
We keep your conversations and account data while your account is active so the Service can remember context and show your history. Screenshots you upload are stored in your private storage area until you delete them or your account.
You can delete your account and its data at any time:
Deleting your account permanently removes your conversations, messages, custom friends, uploaded screenshots, and profile from our active systems. If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first from the subscription page or customer portal — billing is handled by Stripe, and deleting your app account does not by itself stop a paid billing period. Backup copies may persist for a short period before being overwritten.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise these through the account settings in the app or by emailing support@maternalmenace.com. Where required by law, we'll respond within the applicable timeframe.
Talk It Out is not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, email us at support@maternalmenace.com and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the updated version on this page. Questions about privacy? Reach us at support@maternalmenace.com. Also see our Terms of Service.
